From Basketball to Barbell: Ron’s Athletic Journey
Ron’s passion for sports began as soon as he could hold a basketball. Growing up, he played for multiple high-level AAU teams, honing his skills and discipline through the competitive world of youth athletics. But his journey didn’t stop on the court.
While attending Cal State Fullerton, Ron discovered a deeper passion for strength and conditioning, setting him on a lifelong path to helping others achieve their physical best.
“At first, weight training was just a way to stay in shape for basketball,” Ron shares. “But over time, it became my passion and purpose. I realized how transformative it could be—not just for athletes but for anyone looking to improve their strength, confidence, and resilience.”
Education and Expertise
Ron’s dedication to his craft is reflected in his education and hands-on experience:
- B.S. in Kinesiology, Strength and Conditioning Focus: Ron’s academic journey at Cal State Fullerton helped him develop a strong foundation in human movement and performance. As a member of CSUF’s Weightlifting Club, he competed in national-level tournaments and participated in cutting-edge research in strength and conditioning.
- A.S. in Physical Therapist Assistant: In 2024, Ron completed an accelerated program at Concorde Career College in Garden Grove, equipping him with a clinical perspective on injury prevention and rehabilitation.
This combination of kinesiology and physical therapy expertise makes Ron a coach who understands not just how to train, but how to train safely and effectively.
